Zoey's writing and world building is fantastic and I really felt like there were so many other paths that could have replaced that part being more unique and fulfilling to the story she is creating. I was worried the whole witches thing was going to ruin the entire book, it's such a generic overused plot line and I didn't feel like it fit in with the world of Dakar with Kakari and Drukar.
